Miles Sampa u-turns, joins Sata for 2016 calls

Deputy Minister of Commerce Miles Sampa says he is now joining the group calling for sole candidature of President Michael Sata.

Speaking from his constituency, Matero in Lusaka Saturday, September 14, 2013, Sampa said since the majority were for the endorsement campaign he was also joining.

He said Zambia is a democratic country where  the mojority rule hence his support for the endorsement campaign.

Sampa was one of the senior members that were against the endorsement campaign for Sata as sole candidate in 2016 saying it was unnecessary. He had said the party needed to concertrate on developing the country than embarking on a campaign for Sata’s endorsement three years away to the next election.

The Matero MP who is also a Member of the PF Central Committee even differed with Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba who is spearheading the campaign.

Matero and other constituencies in Lusaka have endorsed the sole candidature for President Sata.
