Mentality of vandalism saddens Lungu

CHAWAMA member of parliament Edgar Lungu says he is saddened by the mentality of vandalism that exists among Zambians.

And community development minister Joseph Katema has hailed AFGRI Corporation Limited for rehabilitating the male ward at Chawama Hospital and making donations amounting to US $20,000 (about KR106,000).

Meanwhile, AFGRI Corporation Limited has promised to continue providing all the needs of the ward.

Speaking when he toured the newly-rehabilitated male ward at Chawama Hospital through support from AFGRI, Lungu, who is also home affairs minister, said people should stop acts of vandalism.

He said this after Chawama Hospital sister in-charge Carol Bukowa told the minister about previous cases of vandalism and theft recorded at the hospital.

“This situation where you have to cage toilets to stop people from stealing them is not ideal.
