MEANWOOD Holdings Limited has donated KR100,000 to Chipata General Hospital that will go towards improving water supply at the health institution.
Meanwood executive chairperson Robinson Zulu said yesterday during the handover of the cheque to Paramount Chief Mpezeni in Lusaka that his organisation took pride in supplementing Government’s efforts in alleviating challenges faced by health institutions.
Mr Zulu said his organisation decided to contribute towards the improvement of water supply at the institution after Chief Mpezeni made a request.
Chief Mpenzeni, who spoke through Chief Madzimawe, said the money would go towards ending the water challenges faced at the hospital.
Chief Mpezeni was happy that Meanwood had responded to his request within two weeks, a sign of the organisation’s commitment to improving the livelihood of people.
He said a borehole would be installed and overhead tanks fitted at the health institution.
