Zambian striker Emmanuel Mayuka scored his first goal from the time he joined English side, Southampton. Mayuka scored in the 65th minute in a 3-1 friendly win against Turkish side Beşiktaş in Austria on Saturday.According to Inside World Soccer, the 22-year-old Zambian was able to run onto a delightful chipped pass from Lambert before smashing a left-foot volley from the edge of the box which beat Cenk Gönen at his near post.

Muhammed Demirci opened the scoring for Beşiktaş on 62 minutes, the Premier League side fought back and drew level through Rickie Lambert in the 75th minute who also scored for the first time for Southampton.
Youngster Lloyd Isgrove then sealed an impressive win just before the final whistle with his maiden senior-level goal for the Saints.

Mayuka was spotted by the English Side during the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Gabon and was signed from Sweden based club.  His score in Saturday’s game is a morale boaster following his unimpressive performance from the time he signed with Southampton.

The Zambian striker becomes the second Zambian to play in the English league after Collins Mbesuma.
