Embattled Kabwata MP Given Lubinda

State House has confirmed that Foreign Affairs Minister Given Lubinda willnotattend next week’s 20th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Special Assistant to the President for press and public relations George Chellah in a statement released to The Zambian Eye says Lubinda will not be in the government delegation as he has taken his annual leave.

Chellah explains that Lubinda has been on leave since December 21, 2012 and that another Minister has already taken his position as acting Foreign Affairs Minister.

He has also stated that  Lubinda is facing serious charges against the party, which will only be resolved at the forthcoming party Central Committee meeting

Meanwhile State House has released a circular to all foreign missions stating that Lubinda is no longer Foreign Affairs Minister and his deputy is now acting as Minister
