Embattled Kabwata Patriotic Front – PF Member of Parliament Given Lubinda has been fired from his Foreign Affairs Ministerial position.

The information has not been officially communicated to Lubinda but the Speaker of the National Assembly sources in government tells Zambian Eye. Lubinda becomes the second person to be fired by President Michael Sata after Sebstian Zulu who was nominated Member of Parliament.

In a humiliating manner Lubinda on Thursday afternoon left the ministerial seat in the House and to take a back one.

The development caught Lubinda and other parliamentarians an aware and was so humiliating especially that the proceeding were live on a Lusaka private owned Television and Parliament Radio.

Speaker Matibini announced that government has made changes regarding the position of  Foreign Affairs Minister. Dr. Matibini said he has received notifications from government regarding the changes. He said his office was communicated to and that he will soon announce those changes.

The Speaker explained in response to a point of order which sought to know why Lubinda was told to take the back seat when he is a full cabinet Minister.

The Patriotic Front-PF is this weekend expected to deliver a verdict on Lubinda who is facing disciplinary charges of leaking information to the media and opposition. The case was adjourned last month.

State House Press Aide, George Chellah recently said Lubinda had taken a leave and President Michael Sata had appointed another person to act as Foreign Minister.
