Limulunga ready for Kuomboka – Mwamba

WESTERN Province permanent secretary Emmanuel Mwamba says Limulunga district is ready for the Kuomboka Ceremony this weekend.

Mwamba said concerns that this year’s Kuomboka ceremony will not be a success due to the low water levels does not hold water since some successful Kuombokas had been held even during years when there was minimal rainfall.

Mwamba said in an interview yesterday that the province was ready for the ceremony to be held on April 20 following the successful collaborative effort by the Barotse Royal Establishment BRE, the several sponsoring organisations and the government on the other hand.

“There have been concerns about security of the province and of Mongu in particular. We wanted to dispel these. Mongu is enjoying unprecedented peace since the 2011 elections.
