Laura Miti Cautions Sata on Journalists’ Raid

Social activists Laura Miti has cautioned President Michael Sata and his clique not to take the trust Zambians vested in them to govern the country for granted after State House security personnel this morning raided journalists’ homes for allegedly contributing to online publications.

According to reports reaching Zambia Reports, State House police operating as Drug Enforcement Officers have detained three journalists they suspect of running the Zambian Watchdog and other online publications in the country.

The officers who are acting on instructions from President Sata and Patriotic Front chief propagandist Fred M’membe were raided for drugs and seditious material in the operation that started around 02:00 hours Tuesday morning.

Laura, an ex-columnist of the once independent but now PF propaganda tool The Post Newspaper, has posted on twitter; “Message to Michael Sata, Fred M’membe, Wynter Kabimba, Guy Scott, Mutembo Nchito – please don’t do this to Zambia.
