Kalulushi Council Plots are exorbitant, complains Residents
Kalulushi residents on the Copperbelt province have accused the Kalulushi Municipal Council of charging exorbitant fees for residential plots.
One of the residents, Kebby Mumba said the local authority is charging them as much as K25,000 for plots which were not serviced.
“This is not okay, the fees are just too much, the ministry of local government should intervene in this matter,” he complained.
But Kalulushi Municipal Council Public Relations officer Kangwa Muma said the fees were just fair because the plots that were being sold were serviced unlike in the past when the council could just sell plots to people without roads and other services.
