Kabwe DC complains of uncollected garbage

KABWE district commissioner Patrick Chishala has expressed displeasure at the local authority’s inability to collect garbage in the area.

And Chishala has threatened that he will personally start collecting garbage if Kabwe Municipal Council fails to live up to its obligation of collecting litter in the town.

Speaking to members of the press after inspecting Kabwe district business centre, which is dotted with heaps of garbage, Chishala said the local authority had gone to sleep.

“The town is dirty and the council is not collecting garbage. The heaps of garbage that I found in town the other day are still uncollected to date,” Chishala said. “It appears we are failing because the local authority has gone to sleep. I don’t see the garbage being collected and the stuff is dotted all over town.”
