Patriotic Front General Secretary Wynter Kabimba on Friday stayed away from welcoming President Michael Sata when he arrived back home from New York where he went to attend the United Nations General Assembly.

Kabimba who is also Justice Minister is under pressure from the party’s supporters to steep down his position as General Secretary which he has refused and labeled the protestors as being paid by tribalists within PF wanting to hound him out. As Chief Executive Officer of the ruling party, he was supposed to be at the Airport to welcome his boss.

But Kabimba seems to have lost grip in the party for fear of being harassed by cadres who have been protesting with mock coffins he saw it safe to stay away.

The other day, Kabimba told off new Information Permanent Secretary Emmanuel Mwamba accusing him of launching negative coverage on him with a view of pleasing his paymasters.

He charged that Mwamba has no interest of PF saying when him (Kabimba) and others were struggling building the party, Mwamba was busy feeding from the plates of former president Frederick Chiluba and then president Rupiah Banda.

Kabimba said even when PF fails to form government in future Mwamba will jump out and join another party that will form government.
