Kabimba says Zambia supports Cuba against USA

Havana, Feb 20 (Prensa Latina) Zambian Minister of Justice Wynter Kabimba said in this capital that his country supports the causes defended by Cuba, such as rejection of the U.S. blockade and demands for the release of five Cuban anti-terrorist fighters unjustly held in that northern nation.

“Our position regarding the blockade and the Cuban Five is that of permanent support, so you have an ally in Zambia,” said the also General Secretary of the ruling Patriotic Front, who recently visited the Caribbean country.

In an interview published in Granma newspaper, Kabimba described both situations as unjust affronts, analyzed during a meeting where the Front participated last year in Ethiopia, regarding solidarity with Cuba.

For more than 50 years, Washington has maintained an economic, commercial and financial blockade against the island, which according to official data has caused damages valued at $1.
