Human rights Commission condemns attacks on MMD’s Lusambo

The Human Rights Commission has added its voice in condemning the violence by cadres of the Patriotic Front (PF) and MMD Die Hard Coordinator Bowman Lusambo.

Commission Spokesperson, Samuel Kasanka noted with displeasure the violation of the rights. Kasanka in a statement on Wednesday urged political parties’ cadres to tolerate diverge views.

Kasanka said it is important in a democracy like Zambia to allow for free flow of information without attacks on the other persons.

Lusambo was allegedly attacked by suspected PF cadres on Tuesday when he tried to go to Kanyama.

The MMD youth leader was forced to issue a statement live on Radio Phoenix to apologize and promised to work with the ruling party.
