By some counts, more than 2,000 people there have taken their own lives, inhaling the gas — in most cases hydrogen sulphide — in cars, closets or other enclosed spaces. But after failing an exam, JUSTIN MPEMBA devised his own novel way to try to end his life, but fortunately, it failed and he lived to become a soldier and now recounts his story.
