High Court stops PF from expelling GBM

Former Defence Minister Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba (GBM) has been granted an injunction restraining the Patriotic Front (PF) from expelling him from the party.

This follows a resolution by the Northern province Executive Committee recommended to Central Committee that GBM who is Kasama Central Member of Parliament be expelled for insubordination.

High Court Judge Anne Sharpe Phiri has ordered that the PF should not proceed to expel him until his case is determined by the Court.

GBM is contending that he was not given an opportunity to be head before arriving at the purported expulsion. He has cited General Secretary Wynter Kabimba as the first defendant.
