Health, education critical to development — Kaseba

FIRST lady Dr Christine Kaseba says health and education are critical to the development of the nation.

And Dr Kaseba says Zambia is in need of decentralised specialist health services because it is very costly for people to move from different parts of the country to come to Lusaka.

Meanwhile, China Non-Ferrous Metal Mining Company president Luo Tao says even though China and Zambia were far apart, people’s hearts were close to each other.

During the China Non-Ferrous Metal Mining Company (CNFMC) donation of KR270,000 to Ubutala Ubwa Bumi (UUB) at State House yesterday, Dr Kaseba, who is chairperson for the organisation hoped that CNFMC would consider extending its activities to other parts of Zambia especially the rural areas which needed improvement.

“Let me also congratulate you for the successful holding of the trade forum which the President attended. I stand here as a happy chairperson of UUB because of the donation.
