Great Commission Church Honours Seven Founding Fathers.

Adenta: The Great Commission Church International (GCCI) on Sunday, December 1, honoured its seven founding fathers at the Church's 34th Annual National General Council Meeting (ANGCM) held at Adenta near Accra.According to Ghana News Agency, the majority of the founding fathers, who are now in their seventies, include Apostle Joseph Felix Kwesi Mensah, Chairman of the Executive Council of GCCI; Apostle Professor Samuel Asuming-Brempong, the immediate past Chairman of GCCI Ghana National Council; Apostle Ebenezer Komla Hagan, a former Member of GCCI Ghana National Council; and Apostle Richard Kwami Adanu, First Vice Chairman, Missions, GCCI Ghana National Council.The award for the late Apostle Derrick Sarpong, who was honoured posthumously, was received by his wife, Mrs Mina Sarpong. Two of the seven founding fathers, Apostle Dr Joseph Kwabena Antwi and Apostle Dr Samuel Vincent Ansah, have yet to reach their seventies. They have been instrumental in building the church's foundation and currently hold s ignificant positions within the GCCI Ghana National Council.The founding fathers were accompanied by their spouses during the ceremony. Reverend Moses Kwame Obeng Pinkrah, Second Vice Chairman, Finance and Administration, GCCI Ghana National Council, paid tribute to these leaders for their visionary guidance. He praised their commitment towards the propagation of the Great Commission Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.During the event, citations and parceled items were presented to the founding fathers. The 34th ANGCM of GCCI Ghana, which commenced on Thursday, November 28, 2024, concluded on Sunday, December 1, 2024. The theme for this year's gathering was 'Structuring the GCCI Culture to Deliver the Mandate', and it was attended by over 140 delegates from across the nation.GCCI was founded on April 1, 1991, at the University of Ghana, Legon, Accra. Since its inception, the church has expanded its presence to other countries, including Togo, Benin, Gabon, and the Ivory Coast.
