Govt has identified projects for job creation – Sata

PRESIDENT Sata says his Government has identified the road development infrastructure as one of the biggest avenues for sustainable job creation.

Mr Sata said this yesterday when he flagged off the construction of the multi-million Kwacha 61-kilometre Chalimbana-Lwimba-Katoba road, which will link Chongwe with Luangwa and Kafue districts.

And President Sata also laid a foundation stone for the construction of Chalimbana University in Chongwe.

Speaking shortly after flagging off the construction of the road, Mr Sata said his Government has embarked on the construction of roads to help attract investment to Zambia, which will in turn contribute to job creation.

The construction of the Chalimbana-Lwimba-Katoba road is part of the Link-Zambia 8,000 project, an accelerated road construction programme whose principal goal is to transform Zambia from a land-locked country into a truly land-linked country in Southern Africa.
