‘Govt committed to developing WP’

FINANCE deputy minister Miles Sampa says the government is committed to developing the Western Province regardless of election outcomes.

And Kalabo UPND member of parliament Chinga Miyutu says anyone who does not appreciate the good President Michael Sata has done for Kalabo is evil.

Meanwhile, a Baroste Royal Establishment representative says civil servants will no longer travel long distances to access their salaries.

Speaking when he officially opened the National Savings and Credit Bank (NATSAVE) Kalabo branch yesterday, Sampa said the government would continue developing the region.

“Fortunes or misfortunes in elections will not stop us from bringing development here; whether or not we win elections here, we shall bring development to the province,” he said.

Sampa highlighted the major developmental projects that had been funded for the period January to March 2013.
