Given Lubinda’s PF Central Committee ‘expulsion’ meeting postponed

The Central Committee of the ruling Patriotic Front – PF party meeting to determine the fate of Foreign Minister Given Lubinda and others facing disciplinary charges has been postponed.

The meeting that was supposed to be held in Lusaka tomorrow Sunday January 20, 2013 has been pushed to Wednesday January 23, 2013. The postponed has been necessitated due to the absence of President Michael Sata who is the chairman of the Central Committee.

The disciplinary committee has recommended for Lubinda’s expulsion for allegedly leaking information to the opposition and media. Lubinda is also Member of Parliament for Kabwata in the Zambian capital.

President Sata has traveled to South Africa to attend the official opening of AFCON 2013 starting today.
