FAZ criticized for the manner it handled Mumba’s case

SPORTS WRITER and football analyst, Chapadongo Lungu has criticized the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) the manner it handled the
appeal case of Zanaco Football Club Coach, Keagan Mumba.

Lungu said the Football Association did not follow the right procedure in handling both the suspension and the appeal case. He said FAZ should have called the embattled coach and give him chance to exculpate himself before being slapped with the suspension and the consequence appeal.

He said the decision was also harsh and is damaging the reputation of football in the country.

And another sports analyst Musonda Chibulu also expressed displeasure at the selection of players for the national team. He said the team is not a true representative as it has left out key players like last season top scorer and Nkana front man, Reynold Kampamba.

He also noted that FAZ is exercising selective because some Coaches have not been cautioned for issuing even more harsh words than Mumba.

Mumba who was suspended for three months had has his appeal thrown out by the FAZ disciplinary committee according to its spokesperson .
Erick Mwanza.
