Fans Association now ask Home Affairs Minister to interven in Coach Mumba’s suspension

The Zambia Sports Fans Association has appealed to the Minister of Home Affairs Edgar Lungu to help lift the suspension slapped on Zanaco coach, Keegan Mumba by the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ)

Association President, Peter Makembo feels that FAZ is infringing on the rights of a citizen of the nation.

He said Lungu should come in to protect Mumba who is just victimized by FAZ.

Makembo said the minister’s intervention will not in way be interference in football but is only meant to protect a citizen whose rights are been violated.

He further appealed to FAZ President to take it upon himself and lift the suspension on Mumba in the best interest of football in the country.

Makembo who was speaking in an interview on Friday night said it would be good for FAZ to reconcile with the Zanaco coach who has done a lot for the growth of football especially as Zambia plays Lesotho and Sudan in the World cup qualifiers next month.

he said unite is the key ingredient to the good performance of the team stating that it was because of the same disunity that costed the team during this year’s Africa cup of nations tournament in south Africa.

FAZ has slapped a three months suspension on Mumba which is expected may 6 and has been banned from all football activities organized by FAZ during this time.
