Deputy Superintendent of prison (DSP), Mr Daniel Machator (Rtd), the Oti Regional Minister, says the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) represents an unprecedented supply of road equipment to Municipal and District Assemblies (MDAs) in the region.He added that it was expected to create about 270 direct jobs.He emphasised that government was to empower MMDAs with the tools and resources needed to enhance road networks across the country.Mr Machator said it was designed to address the pressing need for road maintenance and construction equipment in fostering sustainable improvement that would enhance connectivity and spur economic growth.In an exclusive interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA,) he said with the implementation of DRIP, the Oti Region could now dream of improved road networks that would make life comfortable, safer and efficient for passengers and for the transportation of foods and services.Mr Machator commended the government for procuring the machines and pledged that they would be used for their intended purposes.Source: Ghana News Agency
