Don’t talk about Constitution, orders President Sata

SataPresident Michael Sata has directed government officials to stop talking about the new constitution.

Speaking at State House during a swearing in ceremony on Wednesday, February 11, 2014, President Sata said the country already has a functioning constitution and the country was running normally.

“Dont talk about the constition, when people talk about the constitution just ignore,” President Sata said.

He said the country was functioning well under three arms of government. He said talking about the constitution is undermining the existing constitution which serving government officials swore to serve.

President Sata swore in among others Goldwin Phiri as State House Commissioner of Police former Kitwe Town Clerk Alick Simwiinga as Ambassador to Egypt.
