Digital migration policy finalised

Information and Broadcasting Minister Mwansa Kapeya says the ministry and stakeholders have finalised the digital migration policy.

Mr Kapeya says the policy will guide television broadcasting in Zambia under the digital platform.

Speaking at the Digital Migration workshop organised by Muvi TV Mr Kapeya says the proposed policy has been submitted to cabinet for approval.

Mr Kapeya says the measure was meant to demonstrate government’s commitment for Zambia to migrate to digital television by 2015.

He praised Muvi TV for coming up with the initiative to organise the workshop. Mr Kapeya says  the workshop provides an opportunity for the exchange of ideas, experiences and expertise in a collective desire for the country to migrate from analogue to digital television.
