Cholera outbreak looming in Kitwe’s Kwacha Township

Residents of Kitwe’s Kwacha constituency have expressed worry over unstanitary conditions in the area and feared that there would an outbreak of water bornedisease  such as Cholera in the township.
The residents told Zambian Eyethat the area lacks clean water and public toilets are filthy.

“We do not have clean toilets here and water supply is too eratic, our authorities are not doing anything,” complained Imelda Mutale, a Resident.

She added that the situation was worse at Kapoto market where garbage is rarely collected by the local authority.

Another resident Philip Mwenya said several reports have been made to relevant authorities but anything has been done to control the situation.
