China invites Sata

CHINA has invited President Michael Sata to attend and deliver a keynote speech at the Boao forum for Asia Annual Conference 2013, which takes place in April this year.

According to a statement by President Sata’s special assistant for

press and public relations, George Chellah yesterday, the Boao annual conference

would be held from April 6-8, under the theme; ‘Asia Seeking Development

for All: Restructuring, Responsibility and Cooperation’ and over 10

heads of states, including the Chinese leaders are expected to attend.

Chellah stated that other prominent figures invited include the

president of the International Monetary Fund IMF and eight other

leaders of international organisations.

He stated that approximately 2000 participants ranging from government

representatives, business leaders, academicians and media would attend

this year’s conference.

Chellah stated that the standard and size of this year’s

conference is expected to overtake all previous events.
