Black Friday campaign enters week three

A consortium of Civil Society Organization-CSOs- are today continuing with their protests over the removal of subsidy by putting on black clothes.

The protest is now in its third week and has gained momentum with more organastion and individuals joining the cause.

Some Church organizations have called for a procession at BIGOCA Church in Matero in Lusaka.

Foundation for Democratic Process-FODEP- Executive Director McDonald Chipenzi said the organization will continue with the protest until the Patriotic Front-PF- government address the concerns of the Zambian people.

Chipenzi has also appealed to more people and organizations to join in the campaign. He said the organization wants the PF government to start doing the right thing.

The campaign started some three weeks ago with about five institution but more organizations including churches have joined in.

The group were initially protesting government removal of the subsidy on maize, and fuel.
