Zambia’s strong opposition leader Hakainde Hichilema has wished the national team all the best as they take over Burkina Faso in a crucial encounter Tuesday evening on their last match of the first round at AFCON 2013.

“Good luck to our boys this evening as they take on the Burkina Faso,” Hichilema said on his Facebook status a while ago. “Every soccer lover in the country is praying and hoping for a positive result.”

He observed that the country was behind the team and very optimistic that they will deliver as they defend the AFCON cup which they won last year.

“Lets go boys we all with you in spirit,” said Hichilema who heads the UPND party the second largest opposition party in Zambia.

The Chipolopolo Boys are faced with a dice situation this evening where they have to win the match if they are to proceed to the quarterfinals.

A Zambian Eye Sports analyst says Zambia will be breaking a record since 1992 where a defending champion has never failed to make it to the quarterfinals if they do not win today’s game.
