After summon, Siamunene tells UPND that he is busy

United Party for National Development (UPND) has summoned its Sinazongwe Member of Parliament (UPND) Richwell Siamunene to appear before its disciplinary committee. But the law maker who is also Commerce Deputy Minister has snubbed the summon opting to go for a government assignment.

According to the national Broadcaster, ZNBC Siamunene said he will not appear before the disciplinary Committee on the undersigned date because he will be on official government duty on the same date.

Siamunene has however accused the party of trying to victimize him through the summon.

UPND Deputy Spokesperson, Cornelius Mweetwa has earlier said in a statement that the party has summoned Siamunene to appear before its disciplinary committee on charges of violation of the party constitution.

Mweetwa said Siamunene is expected to appear before its disciplinary committee next week, Wednesday May 29, 2013. He said the law marker who is also Commerce Deputy Minister was officially communicated to on Tuesday May 21, 2013. Mweetwa has however warned that the party will take unspecified measure if he fails to appear before the committee.

Siamunene is one of the UPND MPs currently serving as Deputy Ministers in the Patriotic Front (PF) government.
