VICE President Dr. Guy Scott  says the 2016 tripartite elections will be difficult.

And Chairperson for elections Silver Masebo said Copperbelt is a vital province in the politics of PF as the party cannot exist without it.

Opening the just ended PF Copperbelt provincial conference in Ndola on Saturday, Dr. Scott urged PF members to elect credible leaders for unity and progress of the party.

ZANIS reports that Dr. Scott disclosed that no aspiring candidate participating in the elections has been endorsed the president, the Vice President or the Secretary General.

He said all contenders in the election should be judged by their credibility and ability to deliver to the people’s expectations.

The Vice President also urged the members not to be enticed with money in order for them to vote for a particular leader .

He instead said that they should vote for leaders who will take the party forward and see that President Michael Sata wins the 2016 tripartite elections.

Dr. Scott explained that all the members in the PF are for President Sata and that everyone in government whether outspoken or not, they are all in the PF because of president Sata.

He further urged the delegates to show the Zambian people that Copperbelt people are disciplined by holding violate free elections.

He however cautioned all the delegates to be wary of contenders who are promising them money in order to be voted for saying no one standing on any of the positions could afford to pay all the 540 delegates.

“Any one telling you that that will pay you when you vote for them are simply liars, when voting do not think about the money but because what we want to see is to move the party forward,” he said.

And Chairperson for elections Silver Masebo said Copperbelt is a vital province in the politics of PF as the party cannot exist without it.

Ms. Masebo described the atmosphere in the province as good saying there has been discipline among all the contenders and all those supporting them.

She also urged delegates not to look at the list of people taking part in the election but to look at people who can perform for the party in the province saying without Copperbelt there cannot be PF.
