2014 Budget: MMD expects PF to push more money towards fighting poverty

Opposition MMD in Kitwe says it expects the PF government to allocate more funds in the 2014 budget towards poverty reduction in the country.
MMD Kitwe district chairman Timothy Mailoshi, said poverty levels were very high in the country hence for the PF government to put more funds towards fighting the problem.
“As the PF government presents its 2014 budget this month, we expect them to allocate more funds towards fighting poverty,” he said.
And some youths told Zambian Eye, that it is their exepectation to see to it that more jobs are provided for them.
“We just need decent jobs, nothing else,” said Sydney Mulubwa.
Mulubwa said  the PF government should also work towards ensuring that more funds are put in education sector, health and agriculture in order to better the lives of Zambians.
Finance Minister Alexander Chikwanda is this month, October 2013 expected to present the National Budget for 2014.
