PF Cadres Lock Up RATSA Offices

Unruly Patriotic Front cadres this morning stepped up their lawlessness when they locked up offices belonging to the Road Traffic and Safety Agency.

The Patriotic Front cadres who have become notorious for either maiming each other or locking up offices of District Commissioners each time they feel shut out from political favours were bused to RATSA offices where they went on rampage locking up offices saying they were not being quickly attended in their application for licences.

Police who later showed up sealed off the offices and dispersed the cadres who have promised not to relent in their quest to arm twist RATSA into fast tracking their applications.

Police Deputy Inspector General Solomon Jere said the officers will remain at the RATSA offices until order was retained.

During a meeting with party cadres in Kabwe, Patriotic Front Secretary General Wynter Kabimba admitted that the cadres who had taken to locking up offices for public officers were getting out of control.
