Over 300 Police Officers Camp in Chibolya

The Zambia Police say they will camp in Chibolya Compound for as long as it takes until the township is ridden of drugs.

Lusaka Province Commanding Officer Lemmy Kajoba said the over 300 police officers will remain camped in Chibolya to ensure drug related activities are weeded out.

A combined team of police and Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) officers stormed Chibolya arresting over 200 residents who were bundled in trucks and have been going through screening at Edwin Imboela Stadium.

Meanwhile, the haphazard nature the victims were bundled in cars without proper identification may prove a challenge in linking the merchandise to some accused.
