Nevers Mumba Unfazed By Dora Campaign

Opposition Movement for Multi Party President Nevers Mumba says he is unfazed by the wrangles within the ruling party that have seen some sponsored calls for an extraordinary convention.

Mumba said he will remain focused on rebuilding the party for the 2016 general elections.

The MMD is going through turbulent times that have seen some of its members demanding for a convention barely two years after ushering in new office bearers at an elective conference.

“Whatever we are going through between now and 2016 is normal for any political party. We will not be distracted by elements that are being paid to cause confusion in our party,” he said.

“Our duty is to prepare our party to be ready for the 2016 general elections. The problems we are going through are well known.”

Mumba’s vice presidents Michael Kaingu and Brian Chituwo are leading an internal revolt and have admitted to secretly meeting Patriotic Front General Secretary Wynter Kabimba and Post Newspaper editor and chief propagandist Fred M’membe over a possible auction of the former ruling party.
