I’m Sorry, Says Lucky Mulusa

Former Solwezi Central member of parliament Lucky Mulusa has apologised to his supporters for causing them discomfort.

It’s not clear what discomfort Mulusa is referring to but he is one of the six MMD members pushing for the resignation of party president Dr Nevers Mumba.

In a brief statement posted on his facebook page, Mulusa says “The past one week has been extremely trying for my family, friends and all those who came to appreciate the role I was playing in the Zambian politics.

“To all supporters or none supporters to whom discomfort has been occasioned, I wish to offer my sincere apologies.

“In particular your guidance has been highly appreciated and will be followed in my future political and personal decisions.

As for the MMD issue the members’ decision will be respected,”

Mulusa, the two vice-presidents – Brian Chituwo and Michael Kaingu – Dora Siliya and Kapembwa Simbao are spearheading calls for Dr Mumba’s removal on grounds that he has failed to run the party.
