GBM Visits Kazimu Sata [document]

Former Defence Minister Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba has travelled to South Africa to visit President Michael Sata’s hospitalized son Kazimu who was involved in a road traffic accident.

Mwamba, who is Kasama Central lawmaker, has been on the wrong brush with President Sata politically since relinquishing his position as Defence Minister after he publicly refused to disown his recognition of Henry Kanyanta Sosala as Paramount Chief Chitimukulu.

He opted to resign his powerful government portfolio and has had an army of law enforcement agencies unleashed to snoop in all his business dealings.

Mwamba, wife Chama and his two daughters have all had their time before investigative officers but the cases have expectedly hit a brick wall given the emotion manner they were instigated.

Below is Mwamba’s posting on social media:

Dear Fellow Citizens,

My wife Chama and I have this afternoon left for South Africa to check on Kazimu Sata and Muyofu Musambachime who sustained injuries after the vehicle they were travelling in overturned opposite Moba Hotel in Kitwe.

Our prayer is for Zambians to stand together in good times as well as in bad times. There comes a time to put aside our differences and help carry each other’s burden. We need one another, so lets continue forging bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood as Zambians.

Our prayer for Kazimu and Musambachime, including other accident victims is for steady progress and God’s blessings.

Last but not least, our warm thoughts go to all those families across Zambia experiencing the pain of nursing loved ones, including those who have lost their family members and friends.

May God Bless Zambia.

Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba
