President Kais Saied met on Monday evening at Carthage Palace with Imed Hazgui, chairman of the Higher Authority for Administrative and Financial Control, who presented the 28th annual report of the authority for the year 2022 to the head of state.
The President of the Republic stressed the need to punish any violation of the law and to draw up legal texts to regulate the work of the authority, according to a statement issued by the presidency.
During this meeting, they also discussed the preliminary results of the committee set up last September to verify and audit the recruitment and integration processes.
These preliminary results show the extent of the manipulation of public funds. In one ministry alone it was found that 15,000 recruitment and integration files were missing. In addition, according to the same source, some legal conditions were not met by a number of those recruited, especially in public companies and institutions.
